How these pages work

For every market we ask each assistant the question a customer would type, such as What's the best AC repair company in New York, NY?, 3 times, through each provider’s API with web search on and no account, history or location. The engines and models: ChatGPT (gpt-5.6-terra), Gemini (gemini-3.8-flash), Perplexity (perplexity/sonar), Claude (claude-sonnet-5).

We count every business each answer names, check each name against the answer’s own text, and publish a page only when at least three engines answered, at least five businesses were named, and at least one was named by two engines or more. We ask more than once because the answers move: the same question often gets a different list a minute later.
